About us
CTI seeks to create, innovate and develop through technological research projects new learning environments and technological solutions that meet the needs of students, teachers, as well as those of the productive sector, industry, society in general and contributing day by day in the most efficient way, focused on the following functions:
- Promote the planning of information technologies.
- Work with all academic units in planning their activities related to information technology.
- Promote the integration of information technologies in the classroom.
- Facilitate opportunities in the use and implementation of a technological infrastructure in teaching-learning, face-to-face and distance.
- Help and promote institutional efforts in building a better organization for handling new technologies.
- Disseminate absorbed or developed technologies and train their use.

Effectively provide tools and services to improve people's productivity through ICT, as well as lead ICT research and development through alliances with other Universities, Government, Industry and the Community to stimulate development. of Guayaquil, the region and the country.

To be the reference Center that leads, inspires and guides ESPOL and Ecuador in the development, adaptation and innovation of ICT, seeking excellence.
Research Areas
The Center is organized into 5 research teams, each one led by a professor with a Ph.D. degree, who with their work lead the development of projects, with a high degree of research and innovation that combine not only the development of new emerging technologies and business models, but also to enhance learning processes and environments.
